Funny stuff this past weekend... 15:05 Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006 I went to this Chinese festival thing in Monterey Park on Saturday. There was this stand selling puppies and an assortment of domesticated animals, but most of them were puppies. Very cute puppies! So there was this sign near them that said, "PLEASE DO NOT FEED FINGERS TO PUPPIES." I thought it was kind of awkwardly funny. Before that..as I was walking by this video stand, I glanced over to see if anything that stood out was anything I wanted. Off on the side but in the front of the stand for all to see...was a box of porn! Chinese porn! It was disturbing that it was just out there..and it was only a dollar each! hahah. Thrills come cheap nowadays. I'm not that sore anymore, but I get out of breath easily when I walk too much. That was already going on before snowboarding though. I went with my sister and her friends to Big Bear's Snow Summit. Walking to the different lifts was so tiring so a few times instead of walking, I would just hike up a little so that I could catch some momentum in order to snowboard across several paths. Teeheehee. Beats walking. I hate walking, especially in those gigantor shoes. I love love love snowboarding though! :D I'm terrible at it, hence the pain, but it's so much fun. I spent some time trying to teach my sister, but she did a lot of learning on her own also. She didn't go on any of the intermediate runs but she did learn to use the lift! :D I think she did pretty good for a first timer. And she actually liked it enough to maybe go again! Yay! There were a few points of this trip of ours that were funny, such as when my sister strapped her foot in after getting off the lift and one of her bindings got turned inwards so her feet were going in different directions. hahaha. It was really funny to see. And the worst part was that this hot instructor was sitting on the bench nearby and was like, "Who did your bindings?" It was pretty komisch. HRm..I fell on my knees a lot. Much pain. It was so freaking hot on the mountain. I had to take off the humongoid jacket my mom made me wear and the turtleneck, as well as the scarf. I was down to just my 3/4 length shirt with a t-shirt over it. I wanted to take off my tights that I wore inside my snowboarding pants, but that was a little harder to do so I just kept them on. Next time, I think I'll just wear a longsleeve shirt and a vest or something. And snowboard pants, of course. haha. Don't wanna forget to put those on.. After we got back to near home area, we went to eat pho and I didn't get home until like 10, but I had to go back to school still.. I got back to school at like 11:30 and I was soooo tired. The next morning, I was rudely awakened several times and I ended up getting up like at least 20 minutes before I was supposed to, because I thought my alarm had gone off but it was really something else that woke me up. Sigh. Or someone else, I should say. Unfortunately, I did not know this until I had already finished getting ready, so I was pretty wide awake already. Because I had so much extra time, I decided to make some milktea for the road. I was quite tired the whole day. X_x Yesterday's trip to Wooden was not a success. haha.
