Happy Confidence Day
03:12 Thursday, Jan. 05, 2006

Do you ever narrate things in your head? Or, like, think of things you're going to tell people or write about in your blog? Yeah, it sounds kind of sad, but I know some people do... It kind of reminds me of that episode of Family Guy where Peter narrates his day out loud. So.. when you brainstorm these things to write, do you ever think to yourself, Yeah, say that, that's witty! hahaha. Okay, maybe not.

Today my dad suddenly had an epiphany. He thought to himself, We need one of those chain lock thingies (I don't actually know what they're called, but it's those things that have the chain and the little chunk of metal and you slide it in that track so your door only opens a smidge) for our front door! He did not actually have an epiphany as far as I know, but for some reason he put one on our door out of nowhere. Is it to prevent my siblings from coming home in the middle of the night? Maybe this is his way of saying they don't live here no mo'. JK ^_~ My neighborhood's not really that dangerous, though there are helicopters every once in a while shining their bright lights to look for felons. We didn't have a chain lock thing at our old house and that city was much more dangerous. Hm.. Guess I could either ask him or imagine the possibilities on my own.

The first Confidence Day of 2006 was a success. Unfortunately it ended quite early because Friendest had to back to Boonieland for school. :[ Sadness. I was supposed to wake up early so we could possibly movie hop or at least do a bunch of cool things that do not cost so much money, but I kept saying to myself, Self, just sleep a couple more minutes. What was supposed to be a 10am wake-up turned into lazy 11:47am roll-out-of-bed-and-then-shower. Sigh. I've failed. It's hard to get up because I sleep on a bunk bed and my bottom bunk is covered with junk, so I have trouble motivating myself to come out from under the warm blankies on the top bunk and into the open air of my lovely cold house. >_<
BUT anywho, first stop was the bank, where I successfully used an ATM for the first time. Then we each enjoyed a Filet-O-Fish as we watched an episode of Power Rangers titled "Forever Red". That episode kicked face! Every red ranger from every team of Power Rangers was there!! Besides Rocky..we weren't entirely sure what happened with him. Friendest said something about him switching to a different color.. but JASON was there! THE FIRST POWER RANGER! Of American Power Rangers, at least. So yeah, it was so cool. There were ten of them and the fighting looks so much cooler nowadays because of the matrixy shots and such. Man and there were like references to stuff from the past. haha. I miss being a kid.. :[ I'm old. After that, I made G-face take me to buy his Christmas gift. haha. Sad, yes. But it was better that way, because I had no freaking clue that there were so many types of MAMA (it's an instant noodle brand)! So he got to pick his own. We couldn't find the freaking kind that I had before. :*[ 42 meals of sweet, sweet (actually, salty and spicy) MAMA. After that I bought happy cakes and forced him to eat two. haha. I don't know if he ate the second one. THENNNN...we went back to his house to pack and check movie times...FOR MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA. We missed some of the beginning but for most of the movie I didn't even think about it anymore because I just made up the beginning in my head and went along with the story. It was a really cool movie, but in my opinion, the two feuding geishas were a lot prettier than Sayuri. But who can resist blue eyes? haha. And did anyone else think it was funny that the three main female characters were actually Chinese? Hatsumomo fooled me.. Anywho, the movie was good. :D Tnen on the way home, we heard Enya on the radio. It was a good way to end the day. AWESOME way, I should say. ;P

Random quotes from the day:
"Your head got bigger."
"Let's look at stars!" *both press heads against windows*
"Okay, I gotta marry the noise-making guy from Police Academy."
"LOOK! The old man's beating us!" *car starts*
"If you don't start, you won't get to see all the other hot, sexy cars at the mall." *car finally starts*
