- 11:07 Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005 Oh yeah...I went to Haight Street in Frisko and like...we went to Amoeba, the music store. TOTALLY GOT NSYNC'S CELEBRITY AND NO STRINGS ATTACHED! haha. Now my collection of the American albums is complete! haha. Little did I know.... :[ Well like, I was taking the price stickers off and then I opened them to see the booklets and stuff. When I opened Celebrity...IT WAS MY ROMANCE BY JIM BRICKMAN! WHO THE HECK IS JIM BRICKMAN?! Stupid Amoeba. Their credibility level went downtown to Union Square and trampled on by all those Chinese people. That was so disappointing because that's like the best album. haha. Gosh. Luckily I didn't spend that much on it. Both the CDs together were three bucks. I don't remember which I paid two bucks for but I put that sticker on that one because I was mad. haha. I woke up not too long ago because my godmother was trying to use my computer so I like flew out of bed and I was like, NOOOO not that one! Because Drew is pretty messed up. I don't know how to fix it because it's not a virus or anything. Maybe I messed up the registry keys. Oops. haha. Like it keeps restarting or freezing and after maybe like 7 times of doing that in a random combo, it chooses to stay on. ?_? So I turned on my lappy for her and here I am. My cousin was looking for a map to some place in Irvine and no one would tell me what it was so I just gave up. My momma's looking at a house with my godmother so she's actually trusting me to drive without supervision! WOOHA! She totally left money and the car for us to use. haha. Woo! 9 dollars! Crazy time! haha maybe not. - 02:37 Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005 YEAH! ZIV! hahah. No, I do not have a crush on him. Stupid Debbie! >_< hehe. These past few days have been crayzayy. :D On Thursday, I hung out with Allison and Debbie and we went for BUBBLE TEA..Debbie's favorite thing in the world. hahah. Then..I don't remember. Oh! We went to Old Town and had froyo at 21 Choices. Then Urban Outfitters for a while....then.......we just went to Daryl's house to watch movies because we didn't know what else to do. 13 Going on 30 and Mystery Men! haha. After that it was off to home. The next day, I went with Debbie to this LA Pop Idol thing to watch Lisa be a backup dancer. Unfortunately, I had to leave early for work and totally missed her dancing skeelz! And I think her sister hates me. haha. So do all her friends! :[ Anyway, the people weren't that good. haha. Work sucked that night because only three people were working -_- Saturday my family drove up to SF for the weekend. I totally almost drove into the lane next to me because I got distracted by a truck on fire.. Darn me and my rubbernecking. Dinner was a family affair. My cousin and cousin-in-law and...second baby cousin came over to my aunt's house from san jose. Eric [cuz-in-law] wanted to play Hold 'Em. I didn't really know how but I totally won the first few rounds. haha. The next day I went to the International Chinese New Talent Singing Championship in Union Square! I went with my cousins Paul and Helen and my little brother. No one else actually wanted to watch so they left me there alone to get smashed by old Chinese people and little girls. Stupid little girls.. The old people just used them as an excuse to get in front of me but I fought for my spot because I was totally there first. haha. That spot got me on the cover of the entertainment section of the SF SingTao newspaper. hahaha :D It's a small picture but I could recognize myself. So I totally saw Sally Yeh perform! She did four songs. The last one was "Dancing Queen". haha. I don't think most of the people there knew the words. The competitors were really good. It was nothing like LA Pop Idol. hahaha. One of them sounded just like Leon. ^_^ The guy who won was kind of funny looking. My mom said that he was already the lead singer of a band in China so he's like such a cheater. haha. Monday we drove home. Right after unloading, I went out with Debbie and Allison again. We ate at Ten Ren's. Not bad. Good music. OOh yEAH! haha. After that...CITY WALK! We didn't do that much there but spend money :[ We were going to karaoke at this stand and then chickened out. On the way back I said we should just sit somewhere and we ended up sitting behind this guy who was promoting his album and we just listened to him play. He came over and talked to us and Debbie got a free cd. haha. I decided to buy the other one and it's pretty good. Stupid Debbie told him I wanted his number and he totally thought I had a crush on him -_- We got his autograph and took a picture with him and then we went to Daryl's house to maybe watch a movie, but we just ate and talked and watched a little tv. Debbie's leaving today. :[[[ I hope it's not another 5 years before we see her again. haha. I'm going to miss her againnnnnnnn. Lots of stuff going on this week. A couple people leaving to college! :[ A couple having birthdays! Lots o' stuff. Susan's coming back for Labor Day weekend! :] Alright, spater. - 23:15 Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005 I MISS ANNA ALREADY!! haha. I didn't get to see her last night! STUPID WORK. WARghh. I only get lame days off. It's too hard to find people to cover. If I can't find one I'm just going to take the write-up. :[ I'm in SF right now. I get to watch the singing competition! :D Well, if we get in and all. I hope the people going aren't too hardcore. I don't want to get stepped on : Anyway, I'm tired. Bye. - 04:45 Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005 GOODNESSSS. I just worked for 7 freaking hours straight. haha. That's almost a full time shift! If we got paid overtime I'd be rolling in the doughhhh. But we don't so I guess no such rolling. Someone at work keeps calling me a fob. hahah. I like the people at work. Everyone is cool. :P Oh and Jason came to visit. EWWW. I dislike him a lot. Remember not to forget about me :D Don't worry, I think we will both be a big hit. haha :] Let's go raid FRISKO! MONDAYYYYYYYY! I went to Longden to help Anna help the office ladies with registration. I had to do a bit of translating but I didn't know the words for "guardian". :[ Failure, I am. We worked for quite a while and afterwards, her momma treated us to PHO. Yawmmy. Sehr gut. The office ladies at Longden are so much nicer than the ones at the high school. Gosh those jerks. Anyway, after pho, I "helped" Anna kind of pack. I really just sat around and made comments. haha. I helped her take down her stars though. We waited around for Amy to come home or for Ursh to call. Around like 11 or something, we got a call from Amy and we went to visit her because she's going to LMU tomorrow :[[[ We talked about lots o' things like breast augmentation and diuretics. hahaha. She had lots of stuff. It made me wonder if I need to buy more things. haha. It also reminded me a bit of Susan. We helped her fill her car on Friday night. It was soooo crazy stuffed! For some reason when I see "LMU," I think, "LA MOOOO"...I don't know. I guess I'm just strange. I wrote out all the lyrics to "hao xin fen shou". haha. I'm such a loserrr! I also wrote it out phonetically to learn it better. It took me forever to go through the song. haha. Well, that's alles. Bye! - 00:32 Monday, Aug. 22, 2005 "an jing" by Jay Chou. Hot. I really want to sign up for this thing in San Francisco but I don't know how to get the form!! Rawr. The internet is of no use when looking it up. I thought about maybe just showing up but I think there's a deadline for applications but I wouldn't know because the answers are nowhere to be found. Stupid SingTao newspaper! Why couldn't the competition be in Los Angeles? Well even if I go to SF, I can still watch Sally Yeh sing :] The other day I told my mom that my sister and I are going to move to HK and somehow we will get big and meet Kui. haha. Well I didn't tell her about Kui but I told her I'd join Miss Hong Kong [yeah right, like I could]. haha. The next day or maybe the day after I told my dad and he said it was ok. hahaha. Then my mom chimed in and said I suck. haha. I told my dad I wanted to join a singing competition and my mom said I'd get kicked out in the first round. :[ But I have faith in myself. I think I could at least make it to the next one. hahaha. Only a couple people know what I'm talking about because I'm too shy. MuAhck. I don't know what kind of noise that was. Work is not so bad. I mean..yeah I don't like folding crap but I don't mind that much for some reason. I think it's because of the pretty people. hahah :] My neck still hurts. I don't remember how it feels when it doesn't hurt anymore :[. I'm not sure what to do about that. I hope it's not scoliosis. X_x But I'm not the only one who has back pains so maybe it's not not normal? My sister and I finished Qiang Wei Zhi Lian. GOSH it's so good. The storyline is like a lot crazier than Dou Yu but I love them both. They make me cry a lot and I don't even know what exactly is going on sometimes. haha. My Chinese has gotten a bit better and I can understand Mandarin better when I hear it but I mostly read the subtitles so I don't know what some words sound like. haha. But we're going to watch it without pausing sometime soon maybe so hopefully it'll get better :] I love it so much. Omg. haha. <333 Some parts were... : but overall I likey. I've been watching a lot of KTVs in hopes of learning to sing Chinese songs. haha. I learned that Jay Chou is a freaking musical genius. hahah. Well I don't know if his lyrics are super awesome because I don't understand a lot of it but he writes so many songs. It's fantastico. And all his videos are like..stories. It inspires me to want to write but I haven't lifted a finger to do so yet. HRM...that's about all I have to say, I guess. Oh..I really like this one song from Candy Lo called "hao xin fen shou". YOU, biotch! - 22:57 Thursday, Aug. 11, 2005 Sometimes the solution is imaginary... Has anyone ever seen Everything You Want? haha. It's interesting. Orientation was pretty awesome. I felt so good after I enrolled in classes. haha. My counselor was freaking cool and my group was so nice. I got a little homesick the first day. There's many reasons why but I don't want to share them. The only one I'll say is that I missed my laptop and dramas. haha. And also I missed out on Trax's party :[ I really wanted to go. There were lots o' people but I'm not too good at socializing so I didn't meet a lot but the ones I did meet were really nice. :] Some were a bit intimidating but I dunno. I was still feeling sad the second day so I was just like..meh forget workshops. And I went to cheelax with Funnyman. I sat in a class and it reminded me of my marine bio class a little bit but more boring because he didn't crack any jokes at all. haha. How disappointing! After drawing pictures on Funnyman's arm and after he drew Jesus, I had to go to my counselor's room and learn things. After that I went to lunch with Funnyman but on the way to finding him, I ran into OSWALD! WOW~!! haha. I saw him last summer tooooo. It's so randomly strange. So I invited him to come with and we had an awesome time eating spicy food. It made me cry. haha. The spiciness I mean. We also walked around at Ralphs a little because their soda is hard to find and John Chiuuuuuuuu wanted to redeem his free Pepsi. haha. After hanging out with familiar faces I felt a lot happier. I think what made me feel better was being able to be myself because you don't get to do that as much when you're meeting new people. Like..you're still being yourself but you're getting to know them so you don't say all the things you say to regular friends. haha. I dunno. I got lost a lot of times because I didn't know how to get out of the Math & Science building. haha. Then there was construction and I didn't know how to get by it until I followed people. I was 15 minutes late to my counselor's room but that was pretty good since the guide on the tour I went on back in the way back when said it takes like 15 minutes to get to the dorms. I took 15 minutes getting lost AND walking! OH YEAH. haha. I also got lost looking for Funnyman's class because everything looks similar and the names aren't big enough. haha. I didn't know how to use the map because it feels like north is the other way but it's not :[ After coming back from lunch I felt pretty good. I did a lot of bumming around but I also did some productive things. At night we did Carpe Noctum. haha. GOSH that was so freaking hard and tiring. I thought my legs were going to give way. They almost did but I just kept going. Blech. That was fun though. We got to see all the campus and stuff. WOO TEAM AWESOME! Today was tiring but I liked it too. We did a tour of the buildings and there were stories and stuff about each stop. We also got ice cream :P I bummed around for a long time after it all ended because my mom was coming later than everyone else's. I felt like such a lamer. haha. Overall, I liked. I hope I see my new buddies. I met someone with a famous dad. haha. :D OH YEAH..and today they had this presentation about sexual harassment and stuff and it was so awkward.. They were talking about sex and stuff too and how to be safe...in full detail. o_O Luckily I was very sleepy and fell asleep through most of the whole presentation. Unfortunately I didn't miss out on the talks of condoms and such. I wish I did. haha. It was a pretty funny presentation from what I saw, but still...I think it's awkward. I felt bad for sleeping because I was like in the front row and they could see me very clearly. I hope they were looking somewhere else. haha.
